PULA

The history of this Croatian town dates back to the fifth century BC. At that time, the Illyrians inhabited Pula. In 177 B.C.E. Pula came under Roman rule, and in 43 B.C.E. became a Roman colony - hence the numerous monuments of Roman architecture. After the fall of the Roman Empire, it came under the supervision of the Byzantine Empire. In 1334, the city was occupied by the Venetian Republic. After World War I, Istria and Pula fell into the hands of the Italians. After the Second World War, destroyed by hostilities Yugoslavia, and after its collapse was incorporated into Croatia. The pool is commonly called Istria Rome, due to numerous monuments from Roman times. You can see here the amphitheater built in the first century by the emperor Vespasian, (like the Roman colossus, the amphitheater was mainly used for gladiator fights or horse races), the Golden Gate (Porta Auera), i.e. the triumphal arch, the Gate of Hercules (Porta Herculae). It is also worth mentioning about the Sergius Triumphal Arch, which rises to a height of 8 meters. The temple of Augustine and the Istrian Architectural Museum are also interesting

POMER

A small, recreational town in the south of Istria, Croatia. It is a small fishing and recreational town located 5 km from Pula and part of the town of Medulin. The seabed is sandy here and the surrounding waters are one of the most abundant crawfish fishing spots in this part of Europe. Worth seeing here is the Church of St. Agnieszka with the fifteenth century cross, coastal windmills and Roman tombs on the Vizula peninsula.

CRES

Cres is the second largest Adriatic island, tempting tourists with many leisure activities. You can spend days on picturesque pebble beaches, afternoons at folklore performances, and evenings at wineries. Numerous monuments will delight everyone who likes history. The capital of the island is the city of Cres with buildings typical of the Venetian period, a beautiful port reaching deep into the city and the old town. The center of the island is Lake Vransko - ideal for walks and quiet afternoons. A real phenomenon of nature - despite the bottom located 60m below sea level, it contains fresh water. The Cres Island is also known for the presence of vultures, which can be seen with the naked eye as they circulate and soar around the rocky shores of the island. KRK

It is the largest Adriatic island, on which we can enter the Krk bridge (Krčki most). The island's main towns are Krk, Punat, Malinska, Vrbnik, Omišalj and Baška. The island has been inhabited since the earliest times, once a Roman settlement of Curiculum was located here. The Slavs came to this area in the VI - VII century. The main town and capital of the island is Krk. The city of Krk was already known in Roman times (the old Roman Forum - Vela placa is located in the Old Town), and medieval walls from the 12th century can still be seen today. The visiting card of the city are certainly the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the church of St. Quirin from the turn of the 10th / 11th century. The city attracts with a beautiful marina and a seaside promenade, which you can walk endlessly. Krk is surrounded by massive walls erected in 1407 during the reign of the Frankopan family. The town is characterized by a beautiful old town with old patrician houses, a bishop's palace and the Frankopan castle rising above the sea. At the southern end of the island, in the town of BAŚKA, there is a 2 km long sandy and pebble beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. Baska is currently a beautiful summer resort, renowned for its picturesque beaches, the Romanesque old town and a rich tourist offer. However, not only. Baška and surroundings are one of the most impressive Croatian destinations for walking, cycling and climbing routes.

RAB

One of the most popular islands in the Kvarner Bay. Southern part; rocky and devoid of vegetation, it is significantly different from the western, green and fertile part. In the northern part there are great sandy beaches, especially in Lopar bay and the Kalifront peninsula. High sunlight, mild climate, traditional Croatian culture are the undeniable values ​​of the island. Be sure to visit the medieval town of Rab with the old town located on a narrow peninsula and the large Komrčar park complex.

PAG

Also called the moon island is the fifth largest Croatian island. It has the longest coastline, which is very asymmetrical - as a result we can admire numerous bays and peninsulas. Pag Island is one of the party spots in this country, the local towns encourage to spend days on beautiful beaches, and evenings in numerous restaurants and wine bars. The Zrće beach next to Novalija is a club area where several thousand people can gather at the same time.

MALI LOSINJ

It is the largest city and tourist resort on the island of Losinj. At the turn of the century, it was a well-known health resort among the Habsburgs. Villas and amazingly vivid parks come from this period, and are located in the bay of Čikat, the most beautiful part of the city. Extremely mild climate and Mediterranean vegetation as well as a charming seaside promenade inspire walks and cycling. The island is a famous center of yacht tourism. Modern and luxurious hotels will ensure a great rest. We will see white houses with red roofs located in the charming port, the church of St. Martin from the fourteenth-fifteenth century with a bell tower rising high over the city, and the church of the Virgin Mary (Mala Gospa) with a small market square at the front. There we will also find relics of St. Romulus, Piperata - painting museum from the 18th century, Čikat - a peninsula full of Art Nouveau villas and beautiful gardens. You must also visit the town of Osor.
